History
GeoTrans was founded in 1979 as a firm specializing in groundwater flow and transport modeling. We utilized these skills, providing services at some of the most complex environmental sites across the United States at such locations as the Savannah River Site, the Lipari Landfill, the Nevada Test Site, Love Canal, and the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. Today we have grown to meet the comprehensive environmental needs of our clients combining technical excellence and practical experience investigating and remediating environmental sites.
Our skill set encompasses core capabilities such as modeling, characterization, remediation and compliance. But our growth has paralleled meeting our customer's needs in emerging areas such as developing sustainable businesses, helping deal with environmental liabilities, and comprehensive information management services.
In 1988 we became part of Tetra Tech, a publicly traded engineering and consulting company, that provides services in three key areas: resource management, infrastructure and communications. Together we have grown to be a billion dollar company that is committed to sustaining the quality of life and economic growth by integrating engineering and science to help create a clean, secure environment in which people communicate easily and live safely.
