Site Investigation
GeoTrans is nationally recognized for its work in groundwater characterization using aquifer analysis and sophisticated groundwater modeling approaches. Our staff includes nationally recognized experts in site characterization who have authored environmental guidance documents on behalf of the USEPA and industry trade groups. Since being founded over 25 years ago, GeoTrans has conducted thousands of site investigations to satisfy our customer requirements to comply with environmental regulations established under RCRA and CERCLA, assorted other state and local regulations, and as part of litigation support and property transactions. Combined with our understanding of the various regulatory requirements, our customers benefit from the development focused site investigation approaches that match the required data collection objectives with the appropriate sample collection techniques and analytical methods. Our site investigation experience includes:
- Sampling and analyzing all types of media, including vapor, soil, and water samples for a variety of chemical constituents
- Preparation of work plans, sampling and analysis plans, and other project-specific quality and project management plans that may be required
- Developing strategies ranging from quantitatively assessing environmental and health risks to qualitatively field screening sites for potential hazardous materials impacts
